Gourd shaped container made from willow, tree pitch/gum, horsehair, sinew and ochre, all twined together. Covered with brown reddish paint or resinous substance to hold liquid/make waterproof. Wooden stopper covered with leather. It is speculated that the two small loop handles contain human hair and are covered with strips of grass.
Containers such as these were carried by women by strap across the forehead.
