Harpoon Head

This harpoon head has been constructed from ivory/bone which has been carved to make a smooth long point. The head is a long flat triangular lance shape with shirt square in-section. The barbed point would catch and swivel sideways into the animal’s skin. The centrepiece at the bottom has a socket for an attachable wooden foreshaft/shaft and throwing stick.
